According to the European Consumer Commerce Barometer, (April 2010), travel services are the most popular online purchase. But retail goods are rapidly catching up. Realex, Ireland’s largest online payments processing company, processed €9.6 billion in online transactions in 2010, over half of which was for Irish retailers. And it’s not just the retail giants that trade online, Irish SMEs accounted for €1.4 billion of that turnover. Online is where your business needs to be to follow the market. There are many ways for a business to be online right now. During this one hour presentation, aimed at non-techical business owners and managers, I will take you through the business of being online, citing real life practical examples to enable you to decide if you are making the most of the internet for your business.
This presentation will cover the followings topics:
Apractical guide to what is entailed in selling and receiving payments online.
Social Media and Online Reputation
There is an online 24/7 conversation happening between internet users worldwide. Does your business join the conversation? If not, do you know what’s being said about your business?
Online Business Tools
There are a wealth of online tools and services available for businesses, many of which can improve your sales, reduce your costs or improve your effectiveness. I will review five online business services which are either low-cost or free.
